About the Role
A Field Service Apprentice will have the opportunity to learn and support our Field Service Technicians on
primarily local jobsites. The Service Department requires people with the particular set of skills of
investigating, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in automation equipment and building
circuits, OR someone who is interested in learning about doing so. A Field Service Apprentice will receive a wide range of experience on many different types of job sites. He/She will ideally be proficient with all hand tools and basic electrical testing equipment, and will have some knowledge in the field of electrical controls, conduit bending, and residential, commercial or industrial electrical installation experience. He/She should also be capable of reading and understanding wiring schematics and similar installation documentation.
Qualifications
An ideal candidate will have 3+ years of applicable experience as an electrician, with some ability to problem solve and troubleshoot electrical systems. This person will need to have good communication skills, both written and verbal, and must be able to work well under pressure in differing environments.
